The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider point established for intervention ordeals a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend website to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and improve entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
